They're safe to cut on and won't dull knives. The handles on these boards are carved and shaped by hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWith proper care and maintenance these cutting boards will last a lifetime. To clean, wash with soap and hot water then towel dry. Avoid soaking in water or placing in the dishwasher. When the surface becomes dry over time it can be reconditioned with mineral oil or walnut oil.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe ebonized boards are blackened by a natural and food-safe oxidation process that reacts with the wood’s inherent tannins. No stains, dyes or pigments were used to create their dark, ebonized finish.
