"Coloring with Yarn."

Punch needle is the craft that everyone is talking about now and wants to put their hands on. The traditional rug hooking technique was recently brought back to the contemporary craft scene, generating lots of excitement. Get ready to let your creativity flow, and fall in love with a new craft.

It’s a stunning and kind of addictive craft. By the end of the workshop you will create your very own piece of art and will have all the skills needed to keep creating more and more. In this fun workshop, fiber artist Hila Eshel will teach you how to secure monk’s cloth on a hoop, draw a design onto the fabric, and of course – how to use your punch needle.

You will master a new craft and become a confident maker of cushion covers, wall arts, clutches, and so much more. The possibilities of punch needling are endless! Without a  doubt, you'll continue creating many more beautiful pieces in the months and years to come.

What's Included:
Three hours of pure fun while learning the fundamentals of punch needling. All materials for the class will be provided, including the original Oxford Needle by Amy Oxford, monk’s cloth, embroidery hoop, and beautiful yarns.

Hila Eshel / Fiber Artist

Hila Eshel is an Israeli-born fiber artist and founder of Hili Studio, previously  based in Singapore, and now operating in New Jersey. After a career in culinary arts and time spent living in New York, she discovered weaving in her 40s through a workshop at Bloesem Studio with Natalie Miller. Drawn to the tactile and meditative nature of the craft, Eshel developed a self-taught practice that emphasizes mixed media techniques. Her wall hangings source unique materials to infuse each piece with personal significance. Balancing her creative pursuits with family life, she values the flexibility her studio provides and finds fulfillment in sharing her passion through teaching workshops.
