What's That Smell? For many seasons now, this is the first question new barn guests ask when they enter our farm shop. It's become so common that we've joked "one day we will package that up for you." Most likely, the scent that you remember from a visit to Ravenwood is a combination of just baked pastries coming out of the oven, burning wood from our bon fire out back and fresh air moving through our indoor/outdoor space. We're always sure to have candles lit and incense burning all around the shop – a mixture of balsam fir, cedar and piñon that we love and apparently, so do you. 

So, we set out this season to create our own incense and ceramic burner in collaboration with Kingston-based husband and wife team L'Impatience. We love the simplicity and matte finish of their vessels and designed a simple white tabletop sphere from which to burn our incense cones, hand-molded by Chris.

We are offering this new collaboration as a set so that farm shop guests can take with them a part of their experience in the barn with us. We hope you enjoy these local handmade objects in your home as much as we do in ours.
