Hand Dyed Glass Carafe (Kokomo)
This hand blown carafe pays homage to Helen Frankenthaler's color field paintings. Her experimental technique of soaking and staining the canvas while pouring, dripping and sponging color, heavily influenced Kalen Kaminski's sculptural glass collection for her Upstate home line.
Evoking natural land forms, the shape of this item mimics a ridge with a gentle slope on one side and a steep slope on the other. Each piece is hand blown and unique, and there will be slight inconsistencies in shape due to the hand blowing process.
