The sun sets behind the barn each day and there's a dreamlike magic that happens on the back lawn just before dusk. It's a very different energy than the hustle & bustle of our busy weekend farm shop and we'd love for our guests to have a chance to visit and gather during that time.
In the midst of the pandemic, the back porch served as a pick-up location for our produce bundles and floral bouquets. But during those pickups, guests lingered and connected and some wonderful relationships and collaborations resulted.
So, with some prompting and interest from our community, we're going to start up a mid-week series to invite guests into our space for magic hour yoga. The class will run (weather dependent) on the back lawn from 6:30-7:30. But doors will be open from 6-8:30 with light cafe offerings so guests can connect before and after with a cup of tea and browse through our space.
We'll be alternating instructors throughout this 12-week series and are excited for you to meet more incredible Hudson Valley talent with these offerings.

Dia Dearstyne
Dia Dearstyne (she/her) has been moving her body intentionally for most of her life. Before yoga, there was dance, and the intersection of the two is central to Dia's teaching philosophy. Her background as a professional dancer informs her approach to physicality and alignment which is then supported by yogic breathwork, meditation, and the sense of connecting to something larger than oneself. Dia leads her yoga classes with dynamic and accessible asana, infused with warmth and inclusivity, and believes fiercely that yoga is for everyone.
She completed her 200 hour training through Yoga Vida NYC and 85hr Prenatal Yoga certification and Postnatal training through the Prenatal Yoga Center. Over the past 10 years Dia has moved all over the country, but recently moved back to the Hudson Valley for good, settling in Highland, NY with her husband and their busy toddler after spending the past year and a half teaching yoga throughout NYC. Dia also leads the Essentials of Teaching Prenatal Yoga portion of Newburgh Yoga Shala's yearly 200hr YTT and hosts her own YouTube channel, Yoga With Dia. Learn more at www.yogawithdia.com.

Amy Frances Fraher
Amy Frances (she/her) can’t call to memory her first yoga class, but she remembers what she’d been looking for when she found it . . . Church. As a child growing up in the Catholic Church, that became her first connection to collective consciousness (not that she was aware of it at the time). As a yoga student, Amy connected to that same feeling of being deeply grounded, weightless and liberated, all while being in community.
Amy completed her first 200hr training at Vera Yoga in New York City in 2019. After the birth of her son in 2020, Amy returned home to the Hudson Valley. Seeking community, she found it at the Newburgh Yoga Shala. Her dedication to the Sangha, and practice led her to the teacher training program, which she completed in April of 2024.
“I want to bring people into the asana so they might be introduced to themselves and an entirely new world around them. My inner landscape has changed dramatically, and therefore my relationship to the external, simply by showing up to breathe. It feels important to share that great shifts can occur by becoming aware of your breath and choosing ease."
